Spiritual Formation is the “process of being conformed to the image of Christ for the sake of others”*. Spiritual formation is the process of growth and transformation that God invites every person into. The Apostle Paul says it this way in 2 Corinthians 3:18, “And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”

At Calvary, discipleship or spiritual formation, is a core value. We desire to see every believer become more and more like Jesus. That is why the Spiritual Formation Ministry exists. Our mission is to encourage, equip, and enable followers of Jesus Christ in the process of becoming more like Him.

To accomplish this, we are continually developing new ways to help people in their journey of discipleship. Some of the things currently in place are the Alpha Course (a practical introduction to Christianity), mentoring, spiritual direction, new believer groups, discipleship classes, spiritual formation groups, and our website, Faith Journey.
