The counseling ministry at Calvary is a preventative, therapeutic and support ministry designed to meet the emotional and spiritual concerns of people in our community. We are not a professional counseling center but we do believe that mentorship is a powerful way to assist others in a hurting and disconnected society. One heart touching another heart can create life changing power form God to affect change in those who are hurting or desire a touch of His healing compassion. Our goal is to provide an atmosphere of learning and support to provide care for those who are hurting as well as preventing future problems through mentorship and teaching.

Burden Bearer Ministry
“Carry each other’s burdens and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2)
This is a mentorship ministry involving trained volunteer lay people who assist others who are experiencing struggles and crisis in their life issues. It is a joining together with them to help them experience the healing touch of God.

Marriage Mentor Ministry
This ministry desires to see marriages function in a healthy way by sharing God’s design for them with compassion and accountability. Marriage Mentors is a ministry of couples open to help other couples enhance their relationships. It consists of two focuses.

Pre-martial Focus:
Assisting couples who desire to be married to explore relevant issues that would help them to have a healthy marriage.

Existing Marriage Focus:
Assisting married couples who struggle with issues in their relationship find a healing touch that will carry them to a healthier journey through marriage.


Homebuilders Bible Studies
“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: if one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10) … “Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” (Ecclesiastes 4:12)

This ministry strives to provide a safe, connecting, and supportive environment in a group setting to learn principles of relationships that can lead to healthy marriages. Homebuilders is a positive experience where couples share life changing content, enjoy interactive experiences to deepen marital relationships within a group experience. Leaders touch on a variety of issues that help transform relationships in a dynamic way. Homebuilders provide life principles in an atmosphere of fellowships and accountability to strengthen marriages one family at a time.
