Transportation Info: Limited transportation will be available on a first come first served basis and we encourage you to meet at the church to carpool. Church provided transportation will leave the church at 6:00 and return by 8:00.
More Info: The baptism service will begin at 6:30pm and will be followed by some time for food and fellowship. Those being baptized should arrive at the Gladdish home by 6:15. If you have any questions, please call the church office (302-697-7776) or email pbowman@calvarydover.org. There will be no regular Quest at the church this night.
We are going to experiment with something new. On June 27, we are going to try and do Quest in people’s homes in addition to groups here at the church. That night we are going to be talking about the adventure of community, so we thought, “why not learn about community while doing it?!”.
The plan is to video record that talk ahead of time and make it along with discussion material available to groups. There will still be a group and live talk here at the church, but we’d love for some people to get a little risky and open up there home.
So we are looking for volunteers to host a group at their home for that night from about 6 - 830 pm. We are looking for homes that are within a few miles of the church so people don’t have to drive too far.
If you would like to host a group, just send us an email or leave a comment below and we’ll be in touch. Also, if you would like to host a group, but not necessarily lead it you can do that too, just let us know.
Hey want to join the Calvary Assembly of God “twitter prayer team”?
What’s it all about?
This is an experiment in using technology (in this case text messaging) to help us become people who “pray continuously”.
The idea is that you sign up for a twitter account (we’ll explain that in a minute) and follow the cagprayer twitter account . Every time a prayer request is posted to “cagprayer” you will receive the request via text message - then all you do is pray! A simple way to pray for the needs of others throughout the day.
This past Sunday night Pastor Ryan spoke about the Adventure of Mission
Two week ago 16 students and 4 leaders discovered that the Bible was more than just a history book, or stories to read your kids at night. The Bible became reality because we put action to what we have heard and read. Over 50 residents with homes falling apart saw 400 teens and adults prove that God’s Word doesn’t just say He loves them, but that he will show them through His people’s action’s!
During this series, we’d like to invite you to share your stories of adventure here on the Quest blog. We aren’t alone in this adventure and openly sharing our story is one way we come to understand this.
So…
What adventure is God currently leading / calling you into?
Are you in the midst of an adventure? What is God teaching you; how is He stretching you?
Are you struggling with saying “YES” to His call? Share your struggles and thoughts here and allow the community to encourage, strengthen, and pray for you.
How is God working in you through that particular week’s “adventure challenge”?
